Farewell my dearest Family

Salam MS Family

When we least expect it, life sets us a challenge to test our courage and willingness to change; at such a moment, there is no point in pretending that nothing has happened or in saying that we are not yet ready. The challenge will not wait. Life does not look back.

― Paulo Coelho, The Devil and Miss Prym

I wanted to tell you that by the end of this month I’ve decided to take a new challenge in my life and pursue another dream. I’ve spent my last 7 years with this amazing company. Microsoft was a dream since I was a teen and I I’ve realized this dream. I barely recognize the few people who are still here since I’ve joined. Therefore, I’ll not go over a long credits and thanks list because I owe every single person (Colleagues and Customers) I met the gratitude to know and to learn from him or her. I came to this company with one friend (Faisal) and I leave it today with an extended family, lifetime friends, strong career and tons of life-shaping experience. Thank you MS Family and Thank you Microsoft for all that’s I am today.

I’ve really enjoyed the company of the people, value and the impact that we delivered to customers and to the country. The Microsoft Arabia I see today, took a lot of blood to reach this level today. However, many of you may recall me saying that “Meetings, quota, FYs, projects, tools, scorecards, commitments, compliances etc.. all of that just vanish and what’s left is the human experience that we leave on others and we take back home with”. Wish you happy end and new year J.

Finally, I want to leave you with this final thought

We are travelers on a cosmic journey, stardust, swirling and dancing in the eddies and whirlpools of infinity. Life is eternal. We have stopped for a moment to encounter each other, to meet, to love, to share. This is a precious moment. It is a little parenthesis in eternity.
